Vipassana, Bawali and Risikesh
On the first of Novembre I came out of the Vipassana centre. After 7 days of Dhama work. In this case, a bit painting, claeining and helping with the meditation sittings. During my damma work I could still meditate for 5 hours a day and the work was good fun.
On the first of november was it also Dawali. Dawali is like new year with lot of fireworks and some sweets. Sander bought one an arrow to shoot in the air. It looked great.
On thursday night (3 november) we we went to Delhi. I had to pick up my new passport because the old one was broken and Sander had to go to the Pakistani ambassy for a visum. Sander is going back overland by Autoriksja. Unfortunately the ambassy was closed.
After one night in New Delhi (and a walk trough south extension) we decided to go to Risikesh by local bus. The south of Delhi is very different then Paraganj.
So i'm now in Risikesh and since 4 days I follow a yoga course for the next 4 weeks.
I stay in a Ashram in Risikesh but the course is with another school. The ashram is very cheap only 50 rps a night. There is only one disadvantage the gate locks at 10:00 pm so you have to be inside before that time. But for 1 euro a night is it not that bad.

Hallo Meinoud,
Ik lees dat je lekker mediteert in India. Lijkt me ook heerlijk. Maar ik kom er niet aan toe. Het gezin Tannemaat-Llauder wordt voortgedreven door de winden van de bureaucratie. Inburgeren moet, maar je moet er wel even op wachten. Als we geluk hebben kan Meriam 12 december starten met haar taalkursus. Anders wordt het febuari 2006!
Gelukkig zijn de kids gezond. En Meriam heeft wat ups en downs. Dat laatste heb ik kunnen accepteren. Maar dat duurde wel een tijd. Het is natuurlijk ook niet niks dat je je land verlaat en je definief in NL vestigd.
Daarom is het hard nodig dat zij naar de cursus gaat. Dan heeft ze haar "eigen" wereld naast het gezin. Dan komt ze meer in de realiteit in NL te staan en krijgt ze haar eigen contacten.
Dus we kunnen de dag niet wachten. En ik ga per 1.1.2006 met ouderschapsverlof. Dat houdt in dat ik nog 3 dagen per week werk en 2 dagen per week zorgtaken vervul. Daar verheug ik me op. Angela is net 1 jaar geworden en is baby af. Zij is steeds socialer aan het worden en zoekt voorturend contact. En Keith gaat 3 middagen naar peuterspeelzaal en leert daar samen spelen, liedjes en de NL-taal spelerderwijs. Moet alleen nog even andere woonruimt regelen. Maar een kleinigheid hou je toch....
