Mcleod ganj
Hey guys I'm still in Mcleod ganj or to be more exact I just above McLeod in Dhamarkot. Dhamarkot is nice and relaxing little village.
In the morning of the 12 of May I came out of my 10 days vipassana course. It was a very difficult course esp the first 3 days. The first 3 days I only practised anapana for sharpening the concentration. of the mind. During those three days I was just watching the natural breath touching my lips when I inhaled and exhaled. On day 4 I got sick but after using some electrolyte and some Indian cure to stop the many rush toilet visits the next day I was much better. On day four we started with the vipassana meditation It was still difficult, but at the end everybody was smiling. Out the 41 male meditators 4 people dropped out, but the rest made the 10 days.
On day 10 after the metta meditation we were allowed to talk again and share our experience during the 10 days of meditation, the next day in the morning we finished the course. It was a huge and an amazing experience. During the course I thought this will be my last course but now I will do a new course in Sri Lanka.
After the course....
I walked trough the gates of the vipassana centre and went first to the Himalayan chai shop for a cup of milk coffee. Like many of the other meditators we kept on talking and making new friends. For ten days we lived together but never we talked together so it was very interesting.
Talking after 10 days of not talking is a strange affair you hear your own voice again and when I talked to other people I was so focused, my mind was not wandering around, no other thoughts.. Just observe your selve when you are talking to some one how many times is you mind wandering to another thought and you are not in the present moment.
